Nancy Cherney has served on the Government House Foundation Board since 2015 and is a career public servant. Nancy is currently the Assistant Deputy Minister, Property Management Division of the Ministry of Central Services, responsible to oversee and guide the operations, maintenance and management of government’s owned and leased properties located in more than
150 communities throughout Saskatchewan.
Nancy has a keen interest in the structure and history of Government House in light of it being a recognized heritage property both provincially and nationally. She also avidly follows and sometimes participates in programs that are delivered within the House and Edwardian Gardens in her role as ADM of the Provincial Capital Commission, the entity responsible for program delivery and operations in Wascana Centre including the Legislative Precinct, Government House and the Territorial Building. Nancy also provides executive leadership to the Provincial Archives of Saskatchewan, serves as Vice-Chair of the Conexus Arts Centre Board of Directors, and as a resource to the Board of Directors of the Provincial Capital Commission.
